Preparation in Miami

Over the last week we have been preparing ourselves and our equipment to be ready for the start of the second world cup event in Miami, Florida. The regatta starts tomorrow and will go for 5 days consisting of 11 races. We have a fleet size of 35 Men’s crews including eight from the top ten at our recent world championships in Denmark as well as all Olympic medallists from Beijing in their new combinations. We decided to charter a boat for this event, as the cost and limited time frame between world cup events made bringing our equipment from Australia almost impossible.  Our equipment is now heading back to Europe to be ready to compete in the start of the European circuit starting late March. The conditions over the last week have been favourable for our preparations and we look forward to some hard fought racing. We are excited to gauge our progress and allow the focus to switch back on our racing after a few months of testing equipment in Australia.
