Hi Everyone,
What a week. We have now arrived safely in the Palma with all our equipment after logistically coordinating our car, an air freight shipment of masts, our European boat in Hamburg and unpacking a container in Rotterdam then getting ourselves across the Mediterranean sea to the largest island of Spain, Palma de Mallorca.
We have had only very limited time to prepare ourselves and our get equipment ready for the start of the third world cup event. So that Malcolm could spend at least a few days honey-mooning with his wife of 10 days before launching into the next event.
This year we will be using our European boat ‘ Nicole’ which we competed our European regattas in last year. We are excited to gauge our progress and allow the focus to switch back on our racing after a few months of testing equipment in Australia. With a fleet size of 102 Men’s crews, including all the top twenty in the worlds as well as all Olympic medallists from Beijing in their new combinations, we are looking forward to some close and hard fought racing. The regatta will start tomorrow and will go for 5 days consisting of 11 races. You can follow our progress on http://www.trofeoprincesasofia.org
