The Mewstone Rock race was last conducted in 1985. The Mewstone Rock is on the southern tip of Tasmania where sailing is in some of the most challenging conditions. The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania is considering re-introducing this iconic race and asks for expressions of interest with the expected race date being January 22-23, 2011.
