The Fairway Challenge is fast approaching. An invitation is extended to owners of eligible yachts to apply for entry to the 2011 Fairway Challenge which will be run on Saturday 12th March 2011. Entry forms and race documentation are available on the Moreton Bay Yacht Club website at www.mbyc.com.au Hard copy entries must include the entry fee or EFT confirmation; be enclosed within a sealed envelope and be forwarded by hand or mailed to the Moreton Bay Yacht Club, PO Box 730, Redcliffe 4020. Emailed entries are preferred and must include EFT confirmation. Entries may be emailed to secretary@mbyc.com.au
Due to recent flooding in SE Queensland, the QCYC’s Surf to City yacht race is now being run the weekend before the Fairway Challenge. For this reason the entry deadline for the Fairway Challenge has been extended to Monday 28th February 2011. Late fees will be waived and no entries will be accepted after 17.00 hours Monday 28th February 2011.
Complimentary Berths
Free berthing will be available to all visiting yachts on Friday night 11th and Saturday night 12th March, courtesy of the Moreton Bay Boat Club. Please note that rafting up may be required.
Finishing yachts will be welcomed into the marina with a complimentary slab of beer and BBQ on the deck of the MBBC on Saturday night.
Breakfast
A full buffet breakfast will be available at a cost of $12.95 in the MBBC restaurant for all skippers and their crew at 07.30 hours Sunday morning. Please advise numbers for catering purposes by contacting the secretary on 0450 080 799 or including breakfast numbers on your entry form.
Presentation
Placing announcements and presentation of prizes will commence no earlier than 09.30 hours on Sunday morning on the deck of the MBBC.
Race Brief
As part of MBYC’s risk management procedures, a mandatory race brief will be held at the Moreton Baby Boat Club on Monday 7th March 2011, commencing at 19.30 hours. To be eligible to race two (2) representatives from each vessel are required to attend.
