Camp Content:
The annual Sabot Development Camp is part of the Yachting
Queensland Identification and Development Pathway.

Cost: $240.00 per person (all meals and accommodation included)
Venue:
The Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club is located in Chaplain Park,
Gympie Terrace, Noosaville on the beautiful Noosa River. The
sailing course area is highly visible from the deck of the Clubhouse.
Accommodation:
Behind the Clubhouse and only 3-4 minutes walk, without crossing any roads, is the Noosa Sea Scouts “Badgers Wood Campsite” and we have secured the camp bunkhouse.
Campsites are also available for families wanting to stay onsite at around $10.00 per person per night – Bookings essential through the Sea Scouts on (07) 5473-0028
Start Time:
The camp will kick off around 6.00pm on Friday 1st April 2011 – All sailors are welcome to join in the Noosa Youthsail ‘Funsail’ that takes place every Friday afternoon from around 3.15pm
Sailors will secure their boats on the beach and prepare for the walk to the Badgers Wood Campsite (bags will be loaded into vehicles)
Finish Time:
Sunday around lunchtime followed by a BBQ on the beach in front of the clubhouse.
Meals:
All meals are provided and comprise a variation of;
Breakfast – cereal, toast, juice, fruit, and a hot item such as Bacon and Eggs or Baked Beans etc
Morning Tea – Biscuits, Fruit etc
Lunch – Meat and Salad rolls, Hot Dogs, Sausage Sizzle, Juice etc
Dinner – Pizzas, BBQ feast on Saturday night with lots of salad and pasta dishes
Fresh Fruits and Cordial and water available all day with ice blocks in the afternoons
What to bring:
Own boat – rigged to class rules including safety requirements and insurance.
Personal Flotation device, shoes, sunscreen and hat, Log Book, pen, notebook, and small spare parts bag (eg. Spare split rings, shackle, small cord or anything that can be broken or lost).
Personal Gear – sleeping bag, pillow, towels, enough clothes for 2 days, toiletries, swim gear, mozzie spray, SAILING GEAR

ALL EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHING TO BE CLEARLY NAMED
What Not To Bring:
Deodorant Cans, water bombs, stink bombs, water pistols are banned from the camp
Radios, computer games, mobile phones, CD’s and valuables
The camp manager or supervising parents will confiscate any inappropriate article and return at at the end of camp.
Phone calls home are not encouraged – only for emergency purposes and at the discretion of the camp supervisor.
Behaviour:
A high level of good behaviour will be expected from all sailors attending the camp. Any breach of good behaviour will mean that parents will be contacted and expulsion from the camp a possibility.
Insurance:
All boats entered shall have a current insurance certificate for the boat entered with a third party property damage and public liability insurance cover of not less than $5,000,000.

Please have applications and fees in by Monday 15h March 2011 – numbers will be limited and entries will be treated on a first in basis.
