Hello to all our fellow yacht clubs
It would be appreciated if you could forward this email on to all of the members of your respective clubs regarding the Fairway/Pearl Challenge Yacht Race which is being held on Saturday 8th October 2011.
The Fairway Challenge/Pearl Challenge Yacht Race is coming up fast – only 36 days to go! The Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions for both races are available from the designated Fairway/Pearl Challenge website – http://www.fairwaychallengembyc.com/
Complimentary berthing is available from lunchtime Friday through to lunch time Sunday. Tide times favour both the start and finish for the bigger boats coming into the MBBC marina and you will be welcomed and directed into your designated berth with a slab of beer and a BBQ on the deck after the finish, courtesy of the Moreton Bay Yacht Club. The Moreton Bay Boat Club has substantial berths available although rafting up of some boats will be required. Please refer to the NOR for tide times.
A full buffet breakfast will be available from 6.00am on Saturday 8th October at a cost of $10 per crew member. For the first time the MBBC will also take orders for anyone wishing to take lunch on board for the duration of both races. Menus will become available soon at a very reasonable cost and will be available also from 6.00am on Saturday.
The mandatory race brief will be held at 20.00 hours on Friday 7th October on the deck and there will be a very reasonably priced buffet dinner for all skippers and their crews beforehand. It is required that both skipper and navigator attend the race brief. A sign in sheet will be available on the night.
Entries close for the new look Fairway/Pearl Challenge Yacht Races on Friday 16th September. The Moreton Bay Yacht club would appreciate your entry as soon as possible so that berthing and catering arrangements can get underway.
On behalf of the Moreton Bay Yacht Club we look forward to receiving your entry forms soon for the MBYC’s signature event here at at the northern end of the bay and we look forward to seeing you out on the water!!
Regards
Secretary MBYC
