Dear Fellow Yachtsman ,
The Notice of Race and Invitation to Participate for racing yachts and cruising yachts respectively have been completed and these are now posted on the event website ( sailnoumea.com ) for your attention . This event which will involve racing fleets departing Auckland on Saturday 2 June and Brisbane on Sunday 3 June next year , with cruising fleets departing at the time of choosing of each skipper during the prior week , is the result of collaboration between Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron , Royal Akarana Yacht Club and Cercle Nautique Caledonien .
To assist the organising committee it will be greatly appreciated if you could , as soon as possible , complete the Expression of Interest form and return this to the RQYS Sailing Office ( sailingadmin@rqys.com.au , or PO Box 5021 Manly Q 4179 ) .
It is important to note that all yachts participating must meet Category 1 safety regulations .
Paramount in the mind of the organising committee is that all participants enjoy every aspect of the conduct of this event such that they will want to repeat the experience in three years time aand , importantly , influence others to do so .
A programme of information evenings on a range of relevant topics ( refer sailnoumea.com) has been planned , with the first of these to be held at RQYS Manly on Wednesday 30 November starting at 1830 .
